This search feature searches for letters or words that appear anywhere within the Author or Title fields.

For example, if you searched for the author Ram Dass by entering "Dass" or "Ram", the search will pick up any author field where either of those names appear.  

This is useful, in that the searcher may not know if he's listed as "Ram Dass" or as "Dass, Ram". 

Narrowing Down the Search -  Search by Title and Author

If you type in a name and a title, you'll get back only records that contain both.

Example:  If you type "Dass, Ram", you'll see nearly 20 titles.  If you also type "journey" in the Title box, you'll get only 1 title, "Journey to Awakening"
