images/Library.JPG 7,000 Metaphysical books, DVD's, CD's and tapes -- open to the public
First established in the late 1920’s, the Seattle Lodge has nearly 7,000 books, audiotapes and videos.   The lending library is a wonderful resource!   Many subjects are covered in great depth.   In addition to the comprehensive collection on Theosophy, the library has books on a wide range of metaphysical subjects, including comparative religion, mysticism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism and esoteric Christianity, the Celtic tradition, healing, astrology and meditation, near death experiences, and life beyond death.   Numerology, crystals and the tarot are also represented.  Some books in the collection are quite rare.
The library has become a center for the serious exploration and study of Theosophy, metaphysics, comparative religion, psychology and spirituality, as well as a source of inspiration for artists and thinkers of all kinds.
The library houses rare texts and journals that date back to 1885 as well as more than 1000 additions new to the collection in recent years.   Our collection is listed online (links above), and a public computer is available for web research.

Join the Library

In order to get checkout privileges, we ask $30.00 per year for a 12-month membership in this library.  We still discount renewals if membership is kept current. This money is applied towards book, audio and video acquisition, replacement and repair.
Library membership is separate from Lodge membership. You may become a library member without having to join the local or national lodge.   If you do join the lodge, library membership is included.   Library member renewals are discounted.
Please ask the librarian about membership.     Lodge membership Information
